The City of Visalia Community Development Department is recruiting for Assistant Engineer/Associate Engineer (depending on qualifications). There are two positions available.
The selected Engineers will be responsible for the review and processing of multiple development projects and shall assist with the various tasks required of the Engineering Division. Development projects include but are not limited to building permit plan check, final map and subdivision improvement plan processing, legal document review and processing, construction management, utility coordination, agency coordination, development fee assessment, right-of-way procurement, public outreach, and similar type work.

These positions require graduation from an accredited college or university with a BS degree in civil engineering or related field and an Engineering in Training certificate is desirable, and a minimum of one year of civil engineering experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
